The Patek Philippe 5035 was the world's first production annual calendar when it was released in 1996, from the same brand that had invented the perpetual calendar wristwatch in the 1920s. Completely designed and built in-house, the watch contains a tremendously complicated new movement that employs more parts than the perpetual calendar but is simpler to put together. The result is a much lower price for a watch that is almost equally as functional and convenient as a perpetual, and arguably easier to read. The calendar only needs setting once a year, at the end of February. The next model, the 5036, is upgraded even further with a moonphase and power reserve display, and remains as elegant as ever in appearance, with its sculpted bezel and gold Roman numerals.
This Patek Philippe Complications 5036/1R has a white roman numeral dial and a bracelet strap. This Patek Philippe has undergone a thorough inspection of water resistance, accuracy, functionality and condition to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history. All our watches have a 24-month warranty for your peace of mind.
